Rules of Play

 

U.S.G.A. RULES GOVERN PLAY WITH THE FOLLOWING LOCAL RULES IN EFFECT:

 

FORMAT:  54 Hole Stroke Play

Gross & Net Winners, Senior Division Gross & Net Winners

Friday-Tomahawk/Arrowhead 12:00 SG

Saturday- Tomahawk/Arrowhead 9:00 SG

Sunday-Ross Rogers Mustang 8:00 & 1:30 SG

LOCAL RULES

 

  1. Lie of Ball may be improved in fairway being played one club length no nearer hole, using mowed line as fairway.  You may improve the lie of the ball one-grip length in the rough.  If questions arise, decide in your group.
  2. Tees:      All Players Blue Tees with the following exceptions.

                               Seniors 65 & Older AND/OR 20+ Entering Handicap & Above – Red Tees

All Seniors wanting to qualify for the Senior Tournament of Champions must play from the Blue Tees regardless of age.

  1. Ball may be changed on putting green.
  2. 14 Club Rule is in effect.
  3. NO GIMMIES – Putt all putts.
  4. Drop one club length nearest point of relief no nearer the hole from areas marked with white lines no penalty. (Abnormal Course Conditions)
  5. Penalty Areas are marked with lines or stakes @ CT with lines superseding stakes and lines @ RR.
  6. In the competition, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance ONLY. If the device has a slope feature, it MUST be turned off.
  7. In this competition players may listen to music during the round; however, the volume must not exceed being heard outside of the golf cart and if any fellow competitor requests the music be turned off, it must be turned off.

10.          Ball Accidentally Moved on the Putting Green:  If a ball is accidentally moved on the putting green no matter the circumstances, the ball must be replaced with NO PENALTY.

 

Tomahawk # 5 and # 7 will have drop circles approximately 150 yards from the green, Arrowhead # 17 just across the bridge, and # 11 on Mustang.  If you are in doubt as to where your ball last crossed the margin of the Penalty Area, you may drop and play from the drop circle with a one-shot penalty.

 

Please Note:

*Each scorecard must be turned in with two signatures with the correct hole by hole scores A.S.A.P.

 

*If inclement weather occurs this weekend the committee reserves the right to award winners on less than 54 holes.

 

*Winners Gift Cards will be available Monday morning at Comanche Trail Golf Complex.  (All Winners will be required to pick up their Gift Cards as you will need them to redeem merchandise)

 

No Special requests for Sunday Pairings.  Pairings will be made by Gross & Net Scores, with the exception of the Top 4 Senior Gross Players. This pairing may change if a Senior is in the top 4 of the overall Gross Division.  Sunday will be SHOTGUN STARTS at 8:00 and 1:30 on the Ross Rogers Mustang Course with the top 36 Gross and top 36 Net Leaders playing at 1:30. Handicaps Adjusted Daily

 

YOUR HANDICAP WILL BE ADJUSTED AFTER EACH ROUND BY ½ OF YOUR NET SCORE UNDER PAR. (For Example, If you shoot net 66, that is 6 under par, your handicap will be cut 3 shots for the next round.)  Halves will be rounded up.  (Ex. ½ of 3 will be 2). Handicaps will be adjusted down only.
